At Eastern Hills Community Kindergarten our teaching staff understand the many benefits of Play based learning and it’s role in a child's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Our grounds offer a fantastic large outdoor nature play area in a serene bush setting along with a large airy classroom with multiple learning zones to explore. Through nature play based learning we enable the child the freedom to explore their world, and help foster children to learn and care for their environment along with one another. Our kindy program is designed to encourage little ones to become better independent learners, by including unique opportunities for the children to work together with others while using resources found in our very own backyard and home. We understand that at times the transition between home and school can be confronting for young children and their families and here at Eastern Hills Community Kindergarten we endeavour to make this transition as smooth as possible, in recognising that each child and family dynamic is unique and working with families to accommodate a safe and smooth transition into the classroom . We offer a fantastic alternative to sending your child to an on school site where we offer a maximum of 20 children per class.
The Play based learning experience at Eastern Hills Community Kindergarten fosters good development in our children, mentally, socially and physically in a beautiful outdoor bush setting therefore being the ultimate sensory experience for them.
