ENROL NOW FOR 2026 〰️

Mrs Alysia Stretch

TEACHER

I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating play-based learning environment where children are free to be themselves, explore their curiosities, and push their own boundaries. I believe learning should be a joyful adventure, hands on, engaging, and filled with moments that make each child light up with excitement. At the heart of my teaching is the belief that every child deserves to feel a strong sense of belonging, because it’s only when children feel secure and valued that they can truly thrive.

I have dedicated over 20 years to education, beginning my journey as a Special Needs Education Assistant—a role that ignited my passion for teaching and inspired me to complete my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in 2014. Since then, I have had the privilege of working in diverse settings, from the remote outback community of Fitzroy Crossing to the vibrant classrooms of Forrestfield and beyond. Each experience has shaped my teaching philosophy, deepening my understanding of how children learn and grow.

My time at the Language Development Centre reinforced my belief in the power of oral language as the foundation for literacy, social, and academic success. There, I provided specialised language support for students with a primary diagnosis of developmental language disorder, helping them build the confidence and skills they needed to thrive.

I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating play-based learning environment where children are free to be themselves, explore their curiosities, and push their own boundaries. I believe learning should be a joyful adventure—hands-on, engaging, and filled with moments that make each child light up with excitement.

In 2024, I had the honour of becoming the Teacher at Eastern Hills Community Kindergarten, a place that feels as warm and welcoming as the community it serves. At the heart of my teaching is the belief that every child deserves a strong sense of belonging—because only when children feel secure and valued can they truly thrive. I am excited to share the joy of learning with each child, helping them discover their own path in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.

I can’t wait to share the joy of learning with each child and help them discover their own path in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment.
